Each Friday, the folks at Preachy will offer you something of a reflection for your weekend. This Friday, we present Plant of the Month in which we invite you to sample Planet Earth’s finest. This month it’s the humble sunflower.
As summer approaches, so does the arrival of sunflowers. I love sunflowers (and not just because my name is Sunny). Sunflowers have many uses: the petals can be used as yellow dye, they’re used to make a healthy cooking oil, they can be used to make paper, and the seeds are a tasty treat. They can even naturally decontaminate soil. And, of course, sunflowers are a joy to look at. Bring joy into your life! Find a sunflower!
